A Project Engineer position in the Additive Manufacturing Process and Capability Center (AMPCC) focuses on tasks to accelerate the industrialization of Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes, tools, and parts. This is a dynamic role involved in the management of internal and supplier activities across a broad range of initiatives. The role will work closely with team members at the AMPCC as well as various contacts across all RTX business units. They will be responsible for one or more of the following activities as they relate to the AMPCC, including:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules to execute internal and external activities
  • Document procedures and project status
  • Coordinate internal and supplier activities and ensure tasks are executed per plan
  • Execute process steps while driving process improvements and standardization
  • Summarize and present project status in management meetings
  • Manage and track material transfers and shipping
  • Track and enter test data into various databases

Candidate must be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment focused on innovation and have demonstrated both verbal and written communication skills including:

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills and ability to work with complex worksheets
  • Strong planning, problem solving, organizational, and project management skills
  • Basic scripting experience in any programming language (VBA, Matlab, etc.)
  • Hands on experience in a laboratory environment
  • Highly self-motivated, detail oriented, and reliable
  • A desire to learn something new every day

Candidate must have completed a BS degree in an engineering field.
